Gunnedah Shire Council has identified that there are a number of current water supply network mains servicing Gunnedah from the reticulated system that are at there end of life due to multiple failures over the last 24 months, Council is going to an open Tender format for the replacement of 1620 meters of varying diameter Water Mains.

Gunnedah is situated in the Gunnedah Shire Council Local Government area approximately 400 km north west of Sydney.

The water main replacement program will consist of but not limited to

• Class 16 OPVC pipe installation
• Stop Valves
• Fire hydrants
• Bends and Tees
• Service Tapping Bands, main cocks, Ferrel Bends & associated Bpress and Poly fittings to reconnect existing service pipe work.
• Replacement of any Gal services with Poly or Copper
• Road restoration

All companies tendering for this renewal program will price each project separately and supply a schedule of rates for each project, this will allow council to evaluate each project separately and award that project to the successful company.
