Director of National Parks has developed an e-Commerce system to process park pass sales for Kakadu National Park (KNP), Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (UKTNP), Booderee National Park (BNP), merchandise for KNP, and education and venue hire bookings at the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG).

The e-Commerce system has a range of users including staff, commercial tourism operators, and sales agents who use the system’s Trade Portal. There are around 400 registered users of the trade portal who can sell, and purchase park passes and manage bookings, and staff can undertake reporting for BNP, KNP UKTNP and ANBG. Annually, around 110,000 external users access the site for self-service bookings.

We are seeking to engage a suitable vendor to maintain and support the Parks Australia E-Commerce system for 24 months to maintain and support the system and continue development to enhance and expand the system’s capabilities.

In the 24-month contract period, we are seeking a vendor to deliver the following major features to the system:

• Integration to new Finance system (e.g. TechOne)
• Digitised finance processing
• Education bookings for BNP, KNP and UKTNP
• Merchandise sales for the ANBG, BNP, and UKTNP
• Reservations Delivery Calendar for BNP, KNP and UKTNP
• Camping bookings for BNP and KNP
• Customer-facing venue bookings page for ANBG
• Park Patrol App enhancements
• Licence plate scanner integration

The contract will have two x 12-month extension options to deliver maintenance, support, and Helpdesk services.
