Description - Scope of Work:

The school is seeking a reputable and qualified caretaking service provider to manage the outdoor maintenance and cleanliness of its premises in compliance with the relevant Australian Standards and Regulations applicable in New South Wales.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the school's outdoor areas are well-maintained and visually appealing. Tasks may include lawn mowing, hedge trimming, leaf removal, weeding, and general landscaping, following the relevant Australian Standards for grounds maintenance.

2. Exterior Cleaning: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the school's exterior surfaces, including walls, windows, entryways, and outdoor furniture, in accordance with the appropriate Australian Standards.

3. Playground Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the school's playground equipment, ensuring its safety and functionality, while complying with AS/NZS 4486.1:1997 Playgrounds and playground equipment - Part 1: Development, installation, inspection, maintenance, and operation.

4. Pathway and Driveway Maintenance: Keep pathways and driveways clean and clear of debris, ensuring safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles, while adhering to relevant Australian Standards for pathways and driveways.

5. Garden Care: Maintain school gardens and green areas, watering plants, and ensuring they are well-cared for, following the appropriate Australian Standards for gardening and landscaping.

6. Outdoor Event Setup and Cleanup: Assist in setting up and clearing outdoor spaces for school events, meetings, and activities as needed, in compliance with the relevant Australian Standards.

7. Maintenance Plan and Schedule: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan and schedule for outdoor tasks. The plan should outline routine maintenance activities, seasonal tasks, and schedules for inspections and upkeep, aligning with relevant Australian Standards and Regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience in providing outdoor caretaking and grounds maintenance services to educational institutions or similar facilities in New South Wales.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of outdoor cleanliness and attention to detail, in accordance with Australian Standards.

• Knowledge of gardening and landscaping practices and relevant Australian Standards.

• Reliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.

• Flexibility to work during school hours and occasional evening or weekend events.

Contract Duration:

The initial contract will be for a period of two years, with the option of extension based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Relevant experience in providing outdoor caretaking and grounds maintenance services in NSW.

• Demonstrated compliance with Australian Standards and Regulations.

• Ability to meet the requirement of onsite representation from 7 am till 4 pm, Monday to Saturday, for 50 weeks per year.

• Proposed maintenance plan and schedule, outlining regular tasks and seasonal activities, aligned with relevant Australian Standards.

• Pricing competitiveness and value for money.
