King Island Council is seeking the services of a suitably skilled and experienced service provider to establish the required plant and personnel required to crush and process rock to produce road gravels and aggregates necessary to support the delivery of Council's works programs.

Council holds Mining Lease 12M/1998 and an EPA Permit (ELMS 6212) that allows Council to process 5,000m3 per annum. In order to maximise production whilst still remaining compliant to the EPA Permit limits, the intention is to undertake a single crushing campaign that is timed so as to process 10,000m3 (5,000m3 in 2023 and 5,000m3 in 2024), nominally from Dec 23 into Jan 2024.
