The Subcontractor is responsible for and is obliged to complete all aspects of the project that relate to the Earthworks within the tender/subcontract documents listed in the List of Specifications and Drawings (LSD). These responsibilities and obligations include but are not limited to the provision of the following;

1. Documentation of the DSW including any design of temporary engineering required, clash detection, control philosophy for the works.

2. Interface and co-ordination of the design and of the construction of the DSW with all other aspects of the overall project.

3. Supply and installation of all materials, labour, plant and equipment required to complete the DSW including but not limited to:

a) Provision of all plant and equipment necessary to complete the works which meets the specification for operating on a construction site. Provision to provide all remobilization documentation for equipment including maintenance logs.

b) The Sub-contractor is recommended to review the geotechnical information provided within the tender documents.

c) Continuous dust suppression during the duration of all earthwork and civil work activities.

d) Set out the works from survey points provided by others.

e) Complete all clearing and grubbing and allow to cart to local location.

f) Allowance for final trim of the site.

g) Proof rolling of site in accordance with project specifications and drawings.

h) Cut and fill the site to levels shown in design documentation.

i) Preparation of all subgrade and base course for trafficable pavement in accordance with drawings and specifications.

j) Forming and pouring of all concrete kerbing and islands.

k) Supply and place all asphalt to the site as per project specifications and drawings including sealing, priming, corrector course, joints, asphalt and rolling.

l) Allow for all site line marking in accordance with project drawings and specifications.

m) Pile cropping.

n) Management of internal traffic as required for scoped works.

o) Provision for Geotechnical testing as required including on-site compaction testing.

4. Exclusions;

The following items of work are specifically excluded;

a) Detailed earthworks for building footings.

b) Concrete works other than kerbing and traffic pilings.

c) Demolition, removal, or relocation of infrastructure outside the battery limits of this Scope.

5. Where quantities have been provided in the tender/contract documents they are for information only. Tenders have been submitted based on the specification, drawings and standard building practice.

6. The subcontractor is deemed to have included in its tender/subcontract price and must ensure that a suitable skilled Site Supervisor or Leading hand is on site at all times monitoring the Scope of Work, Quality and all Safety requirements.

7. Provision of facilities and services as set out in the Establishment Responsibility Matrix (ERM).

8. Compliance and participation in the project Occupational Health Safety Environment Heritage and Community requirements as set out in the contract.

9. Employment of Australian indigenous people such that at least 5% of the man-hours expended on the contract is performed by people with an Australian Indigenous background.

10. Maximize the opportunity for local services providers and labour.

11. Compliance and participation in the project Quality Assurance requirements as set out in the contract.

12. Provision of all As Built Drawings, Inspection and Testing Records (ITP’s), and Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals (IOM’s) and Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR).

13. Final payment shall be withheld until all Documentation as defined in Contract Deliverables has been received and approved by Kerman.

14. Compliance with project Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management requirements of the project.
