Tender Description
The subcontractor is responsible for and is obliged to complete all aspects of the project that relate to the MRO sprinkler system within the tender/subcontract documents listed in the List of Specifications and Drawings (LSD). These responsibilities and obligations include but are not limited to the provision of the following;
1. Design and documentation of the DSW
a) Design drawings such as general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, single line diagrams, block diagrams, P&IDs, panel designs and cause & effect diagrams to be incorporated into the Contractor's overall design.
b) Submission of all demand calculations, equipment lists, cable schedules, line lists, schematics, plans and the like.
c) Provide reaction loads and engineering consultation to assist with the development of the Contractor's concrete foundation designs.
d) System to comply with FM global guidelines.
e) Updating & resubmission of all drawings as required including following project engineering reviews at the 60%, 90% and 100% design gates.
f) Submission of a certificate of design compliance, including as required all third-party inspections and certification.
2. Interface and co-ordination of the design and of the construction of the DSW with all other aspects of the overall project
3. Supply and installation of all materials, labour, plant and equipment required to complete the DSW including but not limited to;
a) Supply and install all pipework, valves and fittings (i.e. sprinklers) associated with the fire water sprinkler system.
b) Provide all pipework and cable supports, harnessing, cable ladder / tray and fixings as required to run pipework above ground.
c) Provide all control cabinets fire cables, conduits, enclosures, cable protection, fixtures, fittings, fasteners required for fire services utilized to manage the sprinkler system.
d) Complete all interface as required between the sprinkler system and the MRO building FIP.
e) Fabricate, surface treat and installation of bolted steel fire water tanks (2 off tanks).
As part of the tanks; supply and install floor/wall plate, domed roof steelwork/cladding, liners, geotextiles, level gauges, nozzles (inlet and outlet), overflow pipes (drained to ground level), ground level inspection hatch (minimum 600mm diameter) and roof vents,
a) Provide all edge angles and fixed (mechanical / chemical anchors) required to secure the tank to concrete foundations.
b) Each tank shall be provided with an external tank mounted access ladder and platform (approx. 800mm wide), with an inspection hatch on the roof which accesses a Subcontractor provided internal tank ladder.
c) Supply and install fire water pump sets, including all interconnecting pipework and supports required between the tank and the pump set. To assist the Subcontractor in installing control cabling, the Contractor shall provide a 100mm conduit between the pump set and the MRO building (in a common service with inground fire pipework).
d) Complete all pipework painting and labelled in accordance with the project specifications. Sprinkler fire water pipework shall be painted (not banded).
e )Allow to test and commission all wet fire services including systems testing, all pipe flushing and pressure testing.
f) Allow for continuous clean-up of your area of work.
g) Repair and/or replace any existing infrastructure damaged by the Subcontractor during the completion of the Discipline Scope of Work.
h) Allow for the completion of any punch list items associated with this scope of work.
i) Exclusions ~ the following items of work are specifically excluded;
a) Pouring of concrete foundation for the fire water tank and pump station.
b) Trenching, supply, installation and backfilling of inground fire water pipework from the MRO fire water supply point to the fire water tank and from the fire water pump set to an above ground supply point at the edge of the MRO building.
c) Electrical supply connection to the fire water pump set.
d) Fire hydrant ring main at the MRO warehouse.
ii) Where quantities have been provided in the tender/contract documents they are for information only. Tenders have been submitted based on the specification, drawings and standard building practice.
iii) The Subcontractor is deemed to have included in its tender/subcontract price and must ensure that a suitable skilled Site Supervisor or Leading hand is on site at all times monitoring the Scope of Work, Quality and all Safety requirements.
iv) Provision of facilities and services as set out in the Establishment Responsibility matrix
v) Compliance and participation in the project Occupational Health Safety Environment Heritage and Community requirements as set out in the contract
vi) Employment of Australian indigenous people such that at least 5% of the man-hours. expended on the contract is performed by people with an Australian Indigenous background.
vii) Maximize the opportunity for local services providers and labour.
viii) Compliance and participation in the project Quality Assurance requirements as set out in the contract
ix) Provision of all As Built Drawings, Inspection and Testing Records (ITP's), and Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals (IOM's) and Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR)
x) Final payment shall be withheld until all Documentation as defined in Contract Deliverables has been received and approved by Kerman.
xi) Compliance with project Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management requirements of the project.
