Carterton District Council is seeking to reduce its energy consumption on Council-operated facilities aa part of its climate change mitigation programme. An initial investigation has been commissioned by Council to assess the design implications and potential; and has recommended that Council install solar systems in up to four Council-controlled locations. In the order or priority, these are:

1. The CDC Events Centre and Council Offices at 28 Holloway Street.

2. The Water Treatment Plant at 82 Lincoln Road

3. The existing Wastewater Treatment Plant at 49 Dalefield Road.

4. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Reservoirs which are under construction at Gallons Road.

Some funding has been secured for the programme, totalling approximately $400,000 to date. Further funding may be made available, depending on the reliability of projected Internal Rates of Return of the solutions recommended by the successful supplier(s).

Hence, contracts for solar installations at the four facilities listed above will be treated as separable portions. The number of separable portions that are awarded through this contract will be dependent on the price information submitted; and the available budget.
