Tender ID: 541368
Tender Details
Tender Description
King Island Council is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the construction of a Community Gym & Wellbeing Facility in Currie, King Island.
The facility can be delivered either as a modular building, a part-modular/part-conventional construction, or as a conventional ('stick-built') construction. The intent of the tender documentation is to support as many delivery options with as much flexibility as possible to allow for modular off-island construction with limited on-site work due to the locality, if preferred in the tender offer. Alternatively, a conventional fully on-site construction can be offered.
The Community Gym & Wellbeing Facility is funded by the Commonwealth through the Community Development Grants Program. Further information about the project can be found on Council's website here: click here
A planning application has been lodged for this project, with a decision from the Planning Authority anticipated in December 2023. Tenderers should note that decisions arising from this request will be dependent on the outcome of that process.
The current program agreed with the Commonwealth indicates the facility being operational by November 2024. Tenderers will be asked to indicate whether their proposal would require am extension to this timeframe.
The project is the construction of a new Community Gym and Allied Health facility for Council at 16 Netherby Road, Currie, King Island, adjacent the Currie Oval. The facility is a single level building of approx. 230m2 plus walkways and steps, accessible ramped street access, a parking area with short driveway and street crossover access and all associated services connections, all as documented on the Tender drawings, Schedules and in this Specification.
