Lower Eyre Council (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Advisory Services for the review of the capacity and project workload of its Infrastructure Department (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
Full details of the services to be provided under this consultancy are identified in the Project Brief – Section D.
Covering 4,754 square kilometres with a resident population of approximately 6000, the Lower Eyre Council is renowned for its magnificent rural and pristine coastal scenery, as well as thriving agricultural, fishing and tourism industries. With 709 kilometres of coastline ranging from beautiful beaches to rugged cliffs, the Lower Eyre Peninsula's attractions are endless. Major townships include the agricultural town of Cummins and the seaside town of Coffin Bay. Interspersed within the principal land use of general farming and significant areas of national parks and the Uley Basin water protection zone are 21 population centres.
The Lower Eyre Council owns and is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of a diverse portfolio of assets and services. The majority of which are managed by its Infrastructure Department. The key areas are:
