Tender Description

Yurika is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for supply of a Charge Point Operator (CPO) platform.

This EOI is the first stage in a two-staged Procurement Process, the purpose of which is to ultimately select successful supplier/s to deliver the Services. Only those Respondents shortlisted from this EOI will be invited to participate in stage two of the Procurement Process, which may be a Request for Tender or Direct Negotiation (Stage 2).

Yurika advises suppliers of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Hardware of a separate EOI released simultaneously.

Background and Scope:

Yurika is part of EQL – the largest, wholly government-owned electricity company in Australia. Through our rapidly growing national footprint, our teams work across all areas of energy, connectivity and sustainability, delivering projects of any size or scope.

The transition to electric mobility is gaining momentum, with an increasing number of homeowners and businesses adopting electric vehicles as a cleaner and more energy-efficient mode of transportation. Yurika has pioneered EV charging in Queensland through its ownership and operation of the Queensland Electric Superhighway andarging is looking to continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the transition to electric vehicles.

As we expand our portfolio of EV products and services and increase our coverage of the customer value chain, Yurika is looking to source a CPO platform that will deliver wide-ranging benefits to our customers. Our expansion into new EV-related offerings shows our commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry and catering to the ever-evolving needs of our customers.

A reliable CPO platform will serve as the backbone of our EV charging operations, facilitating the seamless integration, operation, and management of an increasingly complex EV infrastructure. Yurika is seeking a CPO platform to facilitate offering end-to-end services and superior customer satisfaction across the following market segments:

  • Primary focus
    • Residential Home Charging: mass market roll-out on behalf of business customers such as electricity retailers, automobile associations and car dealerships.
    • Kerbside destination charging: public destination charging infrastructure.
    • Semi-private: large scale residential (residential appartement towers) and/or Commercial and Industrial application.
    • Fleet: public and private application such as Governments, Councils, corporations and community groups.
    • Logistics and transport: light and heavy vehicle charging along transport corridors and at distribution centres, transport hubs, bus depots and warehouse facilities.
  • Secondary focus
    • Public fast DC charging: Yurika has a current solution for this market segment but is still interested to hear from suppliers on how it caters to this use case.

Our vision is to continue to grow our presence in the market by offering a comprehensive suite of products and services for the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of EV charge point infrastructure across diverse customer segments nationwide. Currently, we are actively pursuing numerous opportunities and anticipate rapid expansion in the short to medium term, with a substantial increase in the number of charge points we supply and manage.
