The GBRF is seeking suitably qualified Indigenous identified consultants or organisations with skills and knowledge to deliver projects under the co-designed Healthy Water Toolkit Program.
Successful applicants will be part of a Preferred Supplier List for the delivery of Healthy Water toolkit projects.
The Healthy Water component of the Traditional Owner Reef Protection Program has been co-designed with Traditional Owners to improve Traditional Owner access to and active participation in water quality projects, science and career pathways.
As part of achieving this goal, the Healthy Water Toolkit Program has been developed to deliver projects related to water quality literacy, Indigenous water rights, waterway assessment and training and development.
A priority for Reef Traditional Owners is to build Indigenous capacity and support Indigenous Enterprises in the reef space. As part of this commitment this EOI seeks to find Indigenous owned businesses that have the capability and capacity to deliver on projects related to the delivery of the Healthy Water Toolkit Program.
Who Should Apply?
The Great Barrier Reef Foundation is seeking Indigenous consultants or organisations (where an organisation is composed of a minimum of 50% ownership by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People) that have:
- existing strong on-ground relationships with Traditional Owner groups and their partners in the context of the Great Barrier Reef;
- proven project management experience, including demonstrated experience in implementing Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property protocols and maintaining Free Prior and Informed Consent from Traditional Owners;
- the skills and knowledge required to deliver projects in the Healthy Water Toolkit Program;
- a passion and drive to be involved in the co-design of Traditional Owner led projects for the Reef.
