VERNet Pty Ltd is a telecommunications carrier owned by eight Victorian Universities. Incorporated in 2004, the company operates a 3,000 km network across the state of Victoria, servicing universities, TAFEs, hospitals and other government customers. In years to come the company plans to market its services to a wider customer base.

VERNet is seeking services to connect key sites across the state. In order to facilitate this the company is requesting pricing for the following services:

1. Managed Ethernet services of 1Gbps, 10Gbps and 100Gbps for terms of 3,5 and 10 years.

2. Dark fibre services (comms room handoff) for terms of 10, 15 and 20 years.

3. Dark fibre services (joint demarcation handoff) for terms of 10, 15 and 20 years.

VERNet invites the Tenderer to submit a tender for supply of these services as further described in this RFT.
