Forensicare is responsible for providing forensic mental health services in Victoria. Forensicare operates a 136-bed secure psychiatric hospital, together with comprehensive community-based programs and prison mental health services. In accordance with our Strategic Directions, our model of care and the implementation of the recommendations of The Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System (the Royal Commission) we are entering into a period of significant organisational growth and transformation. This includes the redevelopment of the Thomas Embling Hospital site with an additional 82 beds, incorporating a women’s precinct, and the expansion of our community footprint with the development of Regional Forensic Community Mental Health Services, beginning with the Barwon Southwest Region.

Forensicare is seeking to fully outsource all salary packaging services to a suitably qualified provider. The Service Provider will provide a comprehensive range of eligible items for salary packaging to Forensicare’s employees. Included in this packaging is eligibility for employees to take advantage of Forensicare’s status as a public hospital employer and salary package $9,010 of living expenses and $2,650 of meal entertainment expenses tax free.
