The Geelong Arts Centre (GAC) is one of a group of State-owned cultural agencies including the Victorian Arts Centre, Museum Victoria, National Gallery of Victoria and others. It is a Statutory Authority and was established by the Geelong Performing Arts Centre Trust Act 1981 (Vic).
GAC is currently undergoing a building transformation with the Little Malop Street Redevelopment of the masterplan completed in 2023 adding theatres and new spaces to the Centre. Further works will continue into 2023 and beyond within the Rooftop, and Church spaces which will complete the masterplan.
The Centre is now calling for submissions from a suitably qualified and experienced Waste Management Provider to cater for its needs.
The purpose of this Request for Quotation is to define a plan to provide professional Waste Management services for the Geelong Arts Centre (Document Part A); and provide the opportunity for suppliers to submit their interest via a Registration and Response process (Document Part B).
GAC are looking to engage a Waste Management Contractor for an initial 3-year term with the option of a 2-year extension.
GAC’s dedicated approach to Waste Management means our operational teams work conscientiously to reduce our overall environmental impact. GAC is looking to engage a Waste Management Contractor for an initial 3-year term with an optional 2-year extension, the service will be required across 3 nominated locations. This Contractor who will act as a close service partner, to support us with our Waste Management Goals
The purpose of this engagement is to ensure that our building is serviced in-line with our operational needs and that the GAC Waste Streams are removed from site in an OHS compliant manner. Importantly, the removed Waste should be treated according to the National Waste Policy 2018 and working to support the City of Greater Geelong’s Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy. A submission identifying how you, The Contractor, align with the principles of our National and/or Local Circular Economy, i.e., Recycling and Recovering Waste Programs, would be favourable.
