Tender Description
The primary function of the Airport facilities is to facilitate the transfer of people, luggage and goods to and from flights originating from or arriving at Newcastle Airport. The Principal relies on the Contractor (as a Contractor experienced and expert in the provision of ground management services for public spaces) to provide a level of service that consistently meets the high expectations and requirements of passengers and other Airport users in relation to site presentation and provides an example of the Principal's environmental commitment through our stewardship of natural spaces onsite.
In general, the assets must be kept clear of all debris and be maintained to a consistent standard promoting healthy and vibrant green spaces. Grassed and planted areas are to be neat and tidy to a park like standard, edges between grass and hard surfaces are to be maintained to keep a straight delineation. Ponds, culverts, and ditches are to be unobstructed. Trees and shrubs are to be maintained for health and to ensure safe passageway adjacent or under for pedestrians. All green waste is to be collected and disposed appropriately.
Weeds or infestations are to be actively managed, and the use of all herbicides onsite is to be managed through a robust safety management framework including safe transport and storage, appropriate controls and signage for staff and the public, and the logging and reporting of products and quantities used onsite.
