"MEG operates five core libraries, which are located at Londonderry, Broken Hill, Gulgong, Gunnedah and Yerrinbool.

The core libraries at Gulgong, Gunnedah and Yerrinbool are being decommissioned. These three core libraries have been operated since the 1980s. During decommissioning some core and samples will be disposed of and some relocated to the WB Clarke Geoscience Centre facility, in Londonderry western Sydney.

The work is scheduled to be completed by 30th June 2024.

MEG are seeking to procure the following:

The supply of labour hire, transport and equipment to decommission the Gulgong, Gunnedah and Yerrinbool core libraries and will include:

1.disposal of selected core and samples,

2.relocation of selected core and samples to the WB Clake

        -Geoscience Centre in Londonderry

3.removal of equipment from within the sheds

4.disposal of some of the removed equipment

5.relocation of some of the removed equipment to the WB Clarke

        -Geoscience Centre in Londonderry

6.cleaning of sheds, grounds and repairs

Gunnedah Core Store Facility Scope of Works

The Gunnedah Core Store facility is situated at 169 Mathias Road, Gunnedah, NSW (Lot 7218 DP 1157605).

On-site in Gunnedah, there are three sheds and two demountable. These house various equipment and racking that require disposal at facilities licensed to accept such material. Some equipment including pallet racking, roller-racking, and a brick saw need to be transported to the WB Clarke Centre at Londonderry. Additionally, there are approximately 216 pallets of 'core' material on-site, with 189 pallets requiring disposal and 27 pallets needing restacking for transport to the WB Clarke Centre. Some minor repairs are also required.

Gulgong Core Store Facility Scope of Works

The Gulgong Core Store facility is located at 19 Welcome Reef Lane, Gulgong, NSW (Lot 269 DP 755433).

The facility comprises two sheds and one demountable. These contain various equipment and pallet racking. There are approximately 94 pallets of 'core' material, with about 180 pallets or core to be disposed of and approximately 14 to be restacked for transportation to the WB Clarke Centre at Londonderry. Additionally, various equipment, including a demountable building, ride-on lawnmower, and roller-racking also needs to be transported to the WB Clarke Centre at Londonderry.

Yerrinbool Core Store Facility Scope of Works

The Yerrinbool Core Store facility is located at Western Road, Yerrinbool, NSW (Lot 2 DP 705833).

The facility consists of a shed, water tank and demountable office. Pallet racking requires dismantling and transportation to the WB Clarke Centre at Londonderry. There are approximately 21 pallets of 'core' material on-site, with 7 pallets requiring disposal and 14 pallets needing restacking for transport to Londonderry.

Entrance is narrow and unsuitable for a semi-trailer."
