Background
The Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman (the Office) is a non-corporate government entity established under the Ombudsman Act 1976 (the Ombudsman Act). It aims to ensure ‘fair and accountable administrative action by Australian Government and prescribed private sector entities by investigating complaints, reviewing administrative action, and statutory compliance inspections and reporting’.
The Requirements
A) The establishment of formal data management and data governance functions in accordance with industry best practices (e.g. DAMA DMBOK) as part of maturing its organisation-wide data capability with specific focus on the business intelligence function.
B) As the next stage to our continuous improvement of the business intelligence function, the Office is looking to uplift its business requirements management processes to enable more effective, efficient and targeted business outcomes.
