The Support Services and Logistics Project will deliver a range of enhancements to the back of house logistics of Maryborough District Health Service including:

- Expanded general waste and recycling facilities including the provision of compactors, bin lifters and bin washer for each stream in line with logistics consultant recommendations

- Expanded clinical waste storage including the development of a compliant refrigerated storage area

- Expanded linen storage for both clean and dirty bulk trolleys

- Expanded supply storage for sterile and non-sterile stock with enhanced deliveries management capacity enabled by a larger staging area and loading dock hoist

- Creation of a new facilitates and refurbishment of engineering workshop

- Creation of a new electric Tug charging and storage area

- Provision of new or replacement logistics management equipment including electric tugs, pallet stacker, pallet truck, bin trailer in line with logistics consultant’s recommendations; and

- Refurbishment of toilets and locker area.
