Overview
The Remote Aboriginal Professional Learning Grant is available to remote and very remote Northern Territory schools. This grant, facilitated by the Aboriginal Educators team, on behalf of the Department of Education, Educational Leadership Culture and Care, offers financial support to assist Aboriginal assistant teachers in their professional learning and development. Schools can utilize the grant for the acquisition of specific equipment for work/study or for targeted training or professional development opportunities.What can be funded
- School laptop for work and study.
- Conferences, workshops or events supporting professional growth
- Accredited training, including First Aid Training
- Professional development courses, such as Berry Street
- Essential textbooks for tertiary study.
What can't be funded
- Travel allowance
- Meal expenses
- Additional night’s accommodation
- Taxi fares other than airport transfers or fares to training venue
- International travel
- Fund-raising activities.
