The National Gallery of Australia (National Gallery) is seeking information from the market via a Request for information (RFI) to inform its planned mobile coverage improvement project.

Staff and contractors at the National Gallery have had limited access to mobile network connection in several areas across the National Gallery’s premises. Staff have continued reliance on VHF radios as only means of communication in mechanical plant rooms and restricted space areas. Currently, some staff must go outside the building to make or take phone calls.

Additionally, visitors and members of the public have poor reception coverage in some areas of the National Gallery.

It is anticipated that the National Gallery will come out to market for a future procurement comprising of two separate tranches, the first will be to undertake a feasibility study and site survey. The second will be to design, implement and support the mobile coverage expansion solution.

There are no requirements for the RFI, however potential vendors will be required to undertake a police check if they wish to be included in subsequent approaches to market to undertake subsequent work.

Timeframe for Delivery: There are no goods or services expected to be delivered as a part of this RFI.
