OzArk Environment & Heritage has been engaged by Barnson (the client) on behalf of the proponent, Taronga Western Plains Zoo (TWPZ) and seeks registration of Aboriginal groups or individuals who are interested in being consulted over an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHA) and Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) application. The application concerns the proposed impacts associated with the Stage 1 TWPZ Serengeti precinct development that will expand accommodation capacity and recreational facilities. The proposal will be located south of the existing TWPZ precinct, south of Dubbo, NSW.
This consultation group will assist OzArk and TWPZ in preparing the ACHA report and AHIP application, as required by Heritage NSW in their consideration and determination of the application. If you hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the cultural significance of Aboriginal objects or places in the proposed study area, please register your interest. We will continue to consult with this group.
