The Victorian Government has committed $96 million as part of its ‘More piers, jetties and opportunities for little anglers’ election policy which includes $15 million for the expansion of the Arcadia and Snobs Creek fish hatcheries.
The Victorian Fisheries Authority is seeking to engage a principle contractor for the civil construction works relating to the expansion of the Arcadia native fish hatchery. The expansion will triple the capacity of the existing hatchery through the construction of up to 140 additional production ponds and their supporting electrical services, water delivery and drainage infrastructure.
