As announced on 1 July 2023, the Councils of the University of Adelaide (UoA) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) have entered into a formal agreement to work together to support the State Government in the creation of a new leading contemporary and comprehensive university of global standing.

This university for the future, to be called Adelaide University, will make transformational investments in teaching and research, will be a stronger magnet for talented staff and students, and will conduct outstanding research of scale and focus.

ABOUT THE RFT

The overall intent of this engagement is to:

- Harmonize the asset condition data across the combined portfolio

- Identify key infrastructure priorities for the merged estates

- Identify key infrastructure services risks associated with merging the two portfolios and propose mitigation strategies

- Identify key infrastructure services opportunities that should be explored as part of the merger

- Propose a methodology for the costing of replacement of services (high level) for various building services and provide this as a m2 rate (per engineering discipline) that can be used to inform future services asset replacement budgets.
