The Art Gallery of NSW is a significant cultural institution and a major tourism destination for local, interstate, and international visitors. The Gallery is open to the public 7 days a week.
The Gallery is only closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday. The visitation level at the Gallery’s original building (South Building) averages around 1.3 million visitors per year. The expansion of the Art Gallery of NSW campus includes the new North Building opened in November 2023 creating a new campus of external and indoor spaces.
The expanded campus (North and South building) had 1,945,810 visitors in 2023. Mechanical systems play a vital role to protect the environment and conditions of the Gallery buildings to support the display and storage of our Art collection. This is a selective tender. The Gallery is seeking a single supplier to provide Mechanical Maintenance service across Gallery sites.
