Tender Description
Aurukun Shire Council (Council) is seeking Consulting Service providers to assist, deliver and implement community enhancement projects, tailored to the community of Aurukun. Council seeks to promote community safety and address supply, harms and reduction of alcohol in the community, by improving delivery of services that enhance community safety and wellbeing through grant funding provided by the Queensland Government.
Suitably qualified Tenderers with proven capability, capacity, and sound financial and technical background to deliver the Specification one or all three projects outlined in this Invitation to Tender are invited to participate in this Invitation to Tender process..
Project 1: Aurukun Health Lifestyles and better Choices Program (Sly Grog) Initiative
Council is seeking to develop and implement an overarching information and marketing campaign with the community to help codesign, utilising Wik language and cultural appropriate communication (Aboriginal English).
Project 2: Service Enhancement
Services Review-Investigate fundamental cause of community dysfunction through holistic review of services to identify gaps locally, gather evidence-based research into best practice, and community engagement to develop recommendations based on place based and evidence based best practices.
Project 3 – Community Safety Plan
Council has identified the need to review and replace its current Community Safety Plan. Council is seeking assistance to coordinate the renewal of Aurukun Shire Community Safety Plan, including a review of the Aurukun Shire Alcohol Management Plan.
