Mossop are engaged as the Managing Contractor to deliver the Noarlunga Hospital Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (24 bed) and Inpatient Expansion (24 bed) project through Early Contractor Involvement to prepare and submit a Guaranteed Construction Sum (GCS).

BACKGROUND:
The Noarlunga Hospital Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit and Inpatient Expansion project will deliver new 24 bed Mental Health Rehabilitation unit (MHRU), 24-bed In-Patient Medical Unit (IPU) and internal upgrades to the dispensing Pharmacy, Clean and Dirty Linen Store and a Linkway to the existing hospital within the Noarlunga Hospital site at 30 Alexander Kelly Dr, Noarlunga Centre SA 5168.
The purpose of this project is to deliver the SA Government's Commitment to "build and open 72 new mental health rehabilitation beds" through the establishment of three 24-bed units at Noarlunga, Modbury and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. Mossop is appointed as the Managing Contractor to deliver of Part A services including a 'value for money' Guaranteed Construction Sum (GCS). Following the GCS submission, we will continue with design finalisation and IFC documentation with the novated consultant team.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Construction of new 2 level building and external plant building consisting off:
- 24-bed non-acute, long-stay mental health facility (ground floor)
- 24-bed inpatient unit (level 1)
Project sub-components, located within the existing Noarlunga Hospital:
- Converting existing office and consulting space into a new Pharmacy
- Creation of a new linen storage facility within the eastern courtyard
- Refurbishment of existing kitchen
CONTRACT:
The Works will be executed under an amended GC21 Conditions of Contract back to back with head contract.
Please note the requirement for 7.5% (5% during construction + 2.5% during DLP) retention - Please provide conforming offers with applicable cost saving to reduce to standard 5%.
