QVM is seeking an experienced Service Provider to undertake a range of electrical services works within Queen Victoria Market (QVM) precinct and provide electrical services support to events held at QVM.

The service provider is to work closely with QVM to ensure all maintenance schedules and operational arrangements are well coordinated.

The Service Provider needs to consult, and work closely with, stakeholders to achieve the results that QVM are expected to complete on a weekly / monthly basis. There are several forums where representatives of the stakeholders meet to discuss projects or arrangements for different events. Examples of these forums are the seasonal night markets which occur every Wednesday of the year with a couple of weeks break in between seasons.

On event days, the Service Provider must work closely with QVM representatives (Contract Manager). It is the responsibility of the Service Provider to achieve the best result possible, to protect the QVM assets and accommodate the needs of the venue managers. The Contract Manager, or another QVM Officer nominated by the Contract Manager, must confirm operational decisions made on event days regarding the use event areas.

Occupational Health and Safety and public safety are very important factors in this contract. In addition to other measures, the Service Provider must ensure that staff carry out their duties in a safe manner given that they work among an active market site. The Service Provider must also ensure that staff perform their duties in a manner which does not expose the public to safety hazards.
