As part of the 2023-24 Federal Budget, the Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) released a grant opportunity to support primary health care access for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The program is intended to address gaps in primary health care service arrangements, barriers to accessing services, health impacts of homelessness, and improve service integration.

The intended outcomes of the program are:

Increased primary care access for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness.

Increased efficiency and effectiveness of primary health care services for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness.

Improved planning, coordination, and support for primary health care services.
