ABOUT MURRUMBIDGEE PRIMARY HEALTH NETWORK

Firsthealth is federally funded to deliver the Primary Heath Network program across the Murrumbidgee region. Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is one of 31 local and independent PHNs established nationally to support the primary healthcare sector and improve health outcomes, particularly for people at risk of poorer health outcomes. We deliver the PHN program across approximately 126,000 square kilometres to more than 250,000 people living in our 508 communities.

With the person at the centre of care, we plan and deliver programs to ensure the needs of our individual local communities inform our approaches. We achieve this by working with our community and partners to:

- Coordinate local services and systems to improve coordination of care.

- Commission primary health services to meet population health needs with a focus on access and equity.

- Support capacity-building to ensure sustainable healthcare workforce through quality improvement, professional development and other innovative measures.

ABOUT THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct is a collaborative effort bringing together local communities, health partners, and industry stakeholders to design innovative and practical ways to provide rural people with exceptional healthcare.

The Precinct aims to improve the quality and accessibility of health care in our community leading to improved patient experience and health outcomes for our community. To achieve this, the Precinct has identified three strategic priority areas of focus:

- Education and Workforce: to attract, train and retain skilled health professionals;

- Research and Innovation: to promote our research and innovation capabilities and reputation; and

- One Health System: to provide the best, most efficient and connected regional health service possible that provides safe and timely care for our people

OPPORTUNITY ON OFFER

Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct Board, acting through the commissioning governance of the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN), is seeking proposals from suitably experienced consultants to work closely with the Precinct's One System Integration Working Group to develop a Regional Planning Framework for implementation.

This is an open tender process.
