The Shire of Augusta Margaret River requires a supplier of transactional banking and merchant services.

The Shire is required to change banking provider due to the business banking and Margaret River branch of Bankwest being scheduled to close by October 2024. Due to the contract value and proposed contract length the Shire is required to contract through a tender process.

Core Transaction Banking

 - transactional banking arrangements, bank account structures (including pooling arrangements), and ancillary services such as account maintenance a branch network to receive cash and cheques and offer encashment facilities cheque issuance and collection/negotiation including accepting third party cheques made in favour of Department of Transport

BPay

• electronic payment services including bulk payments eg ABA files
• electronic banking system capabilities, including an interface to receivables and general ledger systems (does this mean the downloadable files?)
• same day settlement for all electronic transactions
• Merchant services acquiring Inbound credit card and debit card receipts including through:
• electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS)
• interactive voice response
• operator assisted payments
• gateway services and associated import files
• same day settlement for all electronic transactions
• Purchasing/Procurement
• interfaces to expense management systems
• Omni Payment channels
• collection services including over-the-counter bill payments
• other collection/payment services both in Australian Dollars and foreign currencies
• Corporate Credit Cards
• Billing Account with linked credit card

Shire of Augusta Margaret River is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit Shire of Augusta Margaret River staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
