The PGC will undertake Pest Plant Control Services within the Te Apiti reserve area to achieve the goals set out in Te Apiti Pest Plant Operational Plan.

These operations may include, but are not limited to: cut and paste, drill and fill, spraying, hedge trimming, chainsaw and scrub bar control techniques. The most appropriate technique and chemical for the specific plant and location will be used, and the contract principal will be available to confirm control options.

GIS layers and detailed output are expected to be supplied as part of the contract, and will be provided to the HCP after the work has been completed. Track files and point files are to be separate for ease of processing.

Progress updates are to be provided after each period of work (to be agreed between the PGC and HRC). This is to keep the HCP abreast of the work undertaken, any issues or health and safety concerns, and how the work is tracking against the budget.

An annual report that must include staff hours, budget updates and control updates, health and safety issues, all GIS information and interpretation, notable incidents (positive and negative), notable observations, and information for the next control season. This is expected at the end of May for each year of the contract.
