New Zealand is a member state of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), whose principal aim is to ensure the world’s oceans are properly surveyed and charted. The IHO coordinates hydrographic offices around the world and promotes uniformity in nautical charts and documents. It has developed a new S-100 hydrographic standard designed to support a greater range of hydrographic-related digital data sources and products for safe navigation. In accordance with the international S-100 hydrographic standard, LINZ must produce new charting products: S-101 Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC), S-102 Bathymetric Surface, and S-104 Water Level Information for Surface Navigation.
This RFI seeks high-level information to help inform our production of S-104 Water Level Information for Surface Navigation products. Your expertise and solutions can play an important role in helping inform our development of a future strategy for the production of S-104 Water Level Information for Surface Navigation products.
