Tender Description
The Sustaining Riverland Environments (SRE) Program is a $37.6 million program funded by the Australian Government through the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) and delivered by the Government of South Australia (SA) through the Department for Environment and Water. The SRE program was announced by the Commonwealth Government in September 2020 and is planned for completion by 30 June 2026.
The objective of the SRE program is to implement a range of projects to sustain Riverland environments and improve the condition of the lower River Murray channel, floodplain and wetland ecosystems, with a focus on recovering native fish populations.
Civil engineering design is required at both existing and new water regulating type infrastructure across 4 wetland sites namely:
- Beldora and Spectacle Lakes
- Gerard Wetland
- Loveday and Mussel Lagoon
- Overland Corner.
The supplier shall develop an appropriate survey scope, conduct engineering surveys and other field investigations as required to prepare a basis of design report, develop costed concept designs and, subject to DEW optioneering of concept designs, prepare up to 4 costed detailed designs.
