Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors to be engaged as the Principal Contractor for tender number T028/2024 Design and Construction of the Tamworth Regional Skywalk.

This contract includes the detailed design and subsequent construction of the Tamworth Regional Skywalk (Skywalk) within the city of Tamworth, NSW. The Skywalk provides pedestrian access from Endeavour Drive to the existing Oxley Lookout and consists of approximately 1.6km of elevated boardwalks, bridges, and concrete paths. The addition of lookouts, rest areas, and ancillary infrastructure contributes to the user experience.

The tender documents include a draft of the "Conditions of Contract". This document will be finalised as part of the tender evaluation and award process.

Tenders close at 11:00am AEST, Tuesday 25 June 2024. A compulsory onsite meeting on Tuesday 4th June is required to be attended by prospective tenderers to be considered for the works. Details are available in the 'Conditions and Information for Tenderers'.

Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender and any Tenderer who directly or indirectly canvasses support from an elected member or servant of the Council will be disqualified.
