Tender Description
The Queensland Government through the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is seeking offers for Subsidence Pilot Project - Phase 2 Agronomic Impact Assessment (version 2).
It is proposed that the Supplier will be tasked to:
- assess the consequences of mapped/predicted/measured CSG-induced subsidence on farm productivity, profitability, and management practices identified in the phase 1 pilot farm testing currently being undertaken by OGIA.
- develop and design agricultural economic impact assessment methodologies (e.g., comparative impact assessment processes) and benchmarking and evaluation tools, and /or standards for the assessment of the CSG-induced subsidence impacts on agricultural values.
- provide critical judgement to make the technical conclusions and recommendations on thresholds and management strategies (e.g. appropriate agronomy restorative measures) to address the consequences from the impacts of CSG-induced subsidence to land used for intensive agricultural use.
- provide advice on the development of statutory guidelines that will support the implementation of the risk-based subsidence management framework – work to be led by Department of Resources.
- assist in engaging with peak bodies and government agencies through various formats on the matters detailed above.
- Scope is limited to pilot farms and the immediate vicinity as applicable. In some instances it may involve testing of tools and methods outside the pilot areas for broader applicability.
- The scope does not involve catchment wide assessment or testing
