Tender Description
The work will involve extensive daily travel on unsealed roads within the Shire of Derby West Kimberley including travel to extremely remote areas within and surrounding the Shire.
In general, the scope of works typically comprises:
- Minor clearing
- Forming, reforming, shaping and reshaping of the road formation
- Reconstruct road formation
- Gravel sheeting and gravel re-sheeting
- Maintenance grading
- Reshape / form table drains and offshoot drains
- Repairs and reconstruction of various floodways including concrete, cement stabilized, unsealed and sealed floodways including rock protection as required
- Source gravel from borrow pits including clearing, topsoil stripping, removal of overburden, pushing up and stockpiling gravel and associated rehabilitation
- Construction and maintenance of turkey's nests associated with nominated water bore sources; and
- Various works to obtain water from water bores, natural sources and any other source for road construction purposes.
