The Queensland Government is seeking Expressions of Interest for the supply of Cleaning Services for the QIMR Berghofer medical research institute precinct at 300 Herston Road, Herston QLD 4006.

Queensland Institute of Medical Research was established in 1945 to research tropical and infectious diseases found in northern Australia. Today, QIMR Berghofer is one of Australia’s largest medical research institutes, renowned for its world-leading efforts in both discovery research and translational research, which is focused on cancer, infectious diseases, mental health, and chronic disorders.

The facility includes 3 buildings which have 13 floors each, containing a mixture of office space, laboratories, and service areas, with the Institute employing a total of one thousand employees.

We are looking to identify vendors that have capacity and capability to provide facility cleaning services that include but are not limited to the cleaning of office spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, a cafeteria and common areas with limited cleaning requirements of laboratories and the ability to provide additional annual cleaning services, such as but not limited to carpet cleaning and window cleaning. Potential vendors will need to be in a position to supply their own equipment, required materials for cleaning and the consumables required to service the kitchen and bathroom areas.

Expressions of Interest will be reviewed against mandatory and functional criteria and from this a short list will be developed. Those organisations shortlisted will be invited to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP) for QIMR Berghofer’s Facility Cleaning.
