Prospect Oval / Payinthi yarta is one of the most valuable open space areas for the City of Prospect and its community. Today, Prospect Oval / Payinthi yarta remains the largest and most recognised parcel of open space in the City of Prospect. Development and improvements to the site have occurred through the years, however, much of the oval infrastructure today is part of the original build and very dated.

Council is now exploring opportunities to invest into the future of the Prospect Oval / Payinthi yarta precinct as it understands the key role the precinct can play in enhancing community benefit, growing city wide and economic prosperity, facilitating best in class sporting environs, and provision of high-quality recreational spaces.

The City of Prospect is seeking the services of a highly experienced, creative, and capable architectural and urban design practice that can prepare master planning options for the Prospect Lifestyle Precinct, potentially leading to preliminary design development for a preferred development outcome.

The master planning process will be supported by a team of Council and consultant specialists that will provide input regarding the site, locality, market, and user needs.
