Summary of role:

1. Complete Archives Policy and Procedures for Geoscience Australia
2. Progress and assist with the implementation of an operational archive capability for Geoscience Australia
3. A. Research and implement the catalogue metadata required for archiving in line with accepted ISO 19165 data preservation standard and ISO19115 metadata standard. 3.B. Progress and implement Policy and Procedures for data archiving Further work as time permits or as directed:
4. Design and progress implementation of the cataloguing of GA's "Source Data"
5. Support the implementation of the Vocabulary Catalogue and delivery UI
6. Support the implementation of the metadata remediation work by providing guidance in line with the ISO19115 metadata standard
7. Support the Data Services section in the application of metadata cataloguing standards
8. Support Data Services section to encourage GA to meet the Australian Government Data (Open) Data Policies, Data Standards and Data Governance & Asset Discovery obligations, as well as International Obligations recommended for Geoscience Organisations.
