The majority of services required by Council is expected to be in relation to the sale of Council land. Council expects to have a minimum of 14 new residential lots in the Grantham Estate, and 1 industrial lot in Gatton, for sale in 2024. The Governance and Property team is also reviewing Council’s land assets across the Lockyer Valley region to identify any other opportunities for sale during this Council term.

From time-to-time Council also looks at opportunities for the strategic identification and purchase of land for long-term projects. In this regard, services may be required to assist in identifying suitable land and making discreet enquiries on behalf of Council.

Council is seeking the interest of experienced real estate agents and auctioneers to enter into a preferred supplier arrangement with Council to provide real estate and auction services for the acquisition and disposal of Council properties in accordance with the contracting provisions set out in Chapter 6 Part 3 of the Local Government Regulation 2012.

Successful parties will enter a contract to be listed on the panel for the term of 3 years, with a 1-year extension option. During this period, Council will be able to engage directly with panel members to obtain quotes and procure services quickly when required to take advantage of market conditions.
