Provision of Plumbing Maintenance Services, (Panel of Suppliers) Melbourne Campus
Tender ID: 559220
Tender Details
Tender Description
The William Angliss institute of Technical and Further Education is seeking a Panel of Prequalified Plumbing Suppliers (Panel) to provide Business as Usual (BAU) reactive maintenance and minor works, our budget estimates in 2024 allow for just under $110,700.00, and we are allowing for Cpi increases over the next 4 years of up to 10%.
Generally, plumbing work is delivered by way of Business as Usual (BAU) reactive maintenance and minor works as they occur with a heavy reliance on single source supply. We want to shift from this method of provision and move towards a more predictive model with multiple suppliers. To this end, we have commenced an inspection regime to identify plumbing needs, on a corrective and end of life basis. Capturing this information on a database, which will be a live ongoing document.
In addition, we have traditionally relied on a single supplier model for reactive maintenance and small single quote projects, but this approach is restrictive and does not allow for any competitive pricing. Further to this, it does not allow for any emergency requirements, as the single supplier may not be available.
The intention is to have a panel of a minimum or 2 suppliers, and works will be distributed based on the evaluation outcomes, supplier knowledge of site, and ability to meet response times. The intention is to spread the load and allow suppliers to gain knowledge of the site to obtain value for money over the medium to longer term.
Service requirements:
The scope of service will be in accordance with the identified ongoing corrective and predictive maintenance plan. Type of works covered, will be items such as, blocked toilets, leaks, roof and gutter issues, backflow prevention valves, mixer valves, awning and gutter cleans, sewer and ground water pump inspections, gas works and calibrations of stoves required on a yearly basis, etc. Gas works include pipe repairs, extensions of pipework, leak detection and repairs etc.
Key objectives:
The key objective of this approach to market is to ensure that all essential labour, materials, and equipment for the specified corrective and predictive maintenance is at competitive rates and value for money, together with improve invoice processes reducing the number of invoices that need to be approved.
