Gannawarra Shire is located in the northern part of Victoria, about 280 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. It is situated on the Murray River and is bounded by Swan Hill Shire in the north, Buloke Shire in the east and Loddon and Campaspe Shires in the west.

Gannawarra Shire Council is committed to the development of an effective internal audit function and processes which are designed to improve Council’s internal procedures.

Council has established an Audit and Risk Committee to review the Internal Audit process. The Internal Auditor will liaise with the Committee, and the Director Corporate Services as the primary contact.
