Ambulance Victoria (AV) provides out of hospital medical treatment and ambulance transport for people in emergencies and advice for less-urgent medical issues for all members of the community.

AV's Operational Logistics department provides efficient and effective management of key state-wide operational logistics functions to enable optimal service delivery across AV. This includes management of AV’s road fleet, operational equipment, supply services and resource and rostering management functions alongside planning and financial budgeting. Fleet’s function is to ensure staff have fit for purpose vehicles, so they are ready to support the community.

AV currently operates a fleet of around 1450 vehicles with the majority of these, approximately 750, being stretcher ambulance vehicles. The emergency response sedan fleet is comprised of approximately 450 vehicles and the Non-Emergency fleet is comprised of approximately 70 vehicles. Remaining vehicle numbers are made up of specialist operations vehicles and administration vehicles.

The scope of the Agreement includes:

Fit out of new vehicles including the use of approved donor equipment, any upgrade programs that have been provided through approved variations; and the supply and fitting of new components as required. It also includes decommissioning of used vehicles by cleaning and testing of donor equipment where the part is a current component and secure dry storage of the donor equipment.

AV is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to form a panel. The number of panel members will be determined by AV.

The term of the Agreement is for four years with the option to extend, at AV’s sole discretion, for a further term of three years.
