The scope of this tender is to design and construct field drainage, surfacing improvements and the establishment of playing surfaces in Connell Park, Bellingen.

Council will provide contractors with detailed survey, geotechnical data and proposed field layouts. Contractors must undertake bulk earthwork to drain and level the playing surfaces and construct swale drains, due to the wide variety of subsoil drainage and surface solutions, Council are seeking experienced contractors to provide an innovative and value for money drainage solutions.

Works include importing and leveling of a sand carpet for the establishment of the playing surfaces at an approximate area of 300,000m2. Playing surfaces must be upgraded for the 3 main sport fields and the two cricket fields. The contractor must establish the playing surface to a condition suitable for the 2025 winter sporting season.

The works also include the assembly, installation and commissioning of field lighting and the supply and integration of an eswitch sports lighting system. Council shall supply poles, lights and drivers.
