Background

UQ is seeking qualified suppliers who specialise in undertaking Environmental Audits, Environmental Compliance and Risk Assessments. UQ requires an external third-party assessment of its environmental risks, compliance risks, management, and documentation systems. UQ is seeking to update its environmental management and supporting systems. It is expected an audit process would evaluate current environmental risks based on site uses and activities, and will identify gaps, and prioritise actions to address any environmental risk, compliance, and management practices to protect UQs natural assets against environmental harm and to ensure UQ does not cause environmental harm through its activities as far as is reasonable and practical.

UQ is seeking a functional or management audit of environmental risks and practices to meet contemporary environmental management for a diverse organisation with multiple and varied sites. UQ has an Environment and Sustainability Policy and an EMS containing documents with variable levels of currency. UQ is not seeking ISO 14001 certification or an audit of system documentation compliance.

This opportunity and the first stage of work is to focus on two of UQ’s more complex sites – Gatton Campus and Indooroopilly Site.
