Independent Member of the District Council of Elliston - Audit and Risk Committee

The District Council of Elliston is calling for a suitably qualified and experienced Independent Member to join its Audit and Risk Committee for a 4-year term. Expressions of interest are sought from people who want to be part of supporting the Council to achieve its full potential. Committee members must collectively have the skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the function of the committee, including in financial management, risk management, Work Health and Safety, and governance,

Successful applicants will have:

* Abroad understanding of local government structures, operations and legislation;

* Skills and knowledge in financial management, business, governance, WHS, audit and/or risk management

« Experience on audit or similar Committees or Boards

* Excellent communication skills and an ability to work constructively with other Members and management; and

* Well-developed interpretive and analytical skills.
