The purpose of this investigation is to build upon the recommendation in the Upper Avoca River Flood Investigation and understand the potential risks and the different scenarios that may contribute to flooding at the Reserve. The project is to increase confidence that decisions and advice regarding flooding and future development are appropriate and equitable in terms of long-term community wellbeing.

The investigation will take into consideration the likely impacts of climate change on flood and storm events. It will incorporate the learnings from the most recent events and make recommendations for the most appropriate mitigation options for the reserve and surrounding properties.
