In 2024-25, State government allocated $292.500 million capital funding to address failing infrastructure at the Alfred Hospital through the Alfred Hospital Urgent Infrastructure Project (AHUI).

The AHUI project involves two separately funded 2024-25 Budget initiatives being delivered as a combined project due to their relationship onsite:

1. Wards Upgrade Project: The Alfred Hospital Urgent Infrastructure (Prahran): Refurbishment/upgrade works to the Main Ward Block to ensure compliance with fire requirements
2. Critical infrastructure project: Sustaining Statewide Health Service Delivery at The Alfred (Prahran): Addressing asset risk in critical service systems including air-handling, cooling plant, electrical compliance, external building fabric, heating plan, hydraulic sewer and potable water.

The Victorian Health Building Authority is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from pre-qualified suppliers from the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Consultant Supplier Register (CSR) to demonstrate their capacity and capabilities to provide Building Surveyor services to The Alfred Hospital Infrastructure and Inpatient Wards Upgrade Project (AHI&WU).

This EOI is for Building Surveyor services.

Prequalification and selectors

Construction Supplier Register (CSR)

Category: Building Surveyor

Minimum certification requirements: Accredited Building Surveyors with Fire Risk Management Unit (FRMU)

Experience with all classes of building.

Extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of the EP&A Act and EP&A Regulations, BCA (Volume 1 and 2) including documents adopted by reference in the BCA including relevant Australian Standards.
