External (Independent) Member of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network Governing Board An opportunity exists for an External (Independent) Member to join the Audit & Risk Committee of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network Governing Board.

The purpose of the Audit & Risk Committee is to assist the Limestone Coast Local Health Network Governing Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for the:

• Integrity of the financial statements

• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

• Independent auditor's qualification and independence

• Performance of the internal audit functions, and

• Efficient and effective management of all aspects of risk

Reporting directly to the Governing Board, the function and responsibility of the Committee is to provide advice and comment to the Board in the areas of Risk Management, Internal Controls, Annual Financial Statements, Compliance, Internal & External Audit, Corruption and Maladministration Control and other matters as required by the Governing Board.

With meetings held quarterly across the Limestone Coast region, appointment will be for an initial term of 3 years and payment will be made on a sessional basis in line with the SA Health Guidelines. Skills and experience are sought in the areas of risk management, audit, finance, legal, governance and legislative compliance or clinical leadership/administrative background.
