MHNSW seeks to licence the publication of records produced under the Collection Digitisation Partnership Program in exchange for goods and services in the form of digitisation and data entry services

Project goals

The Collection Digitisation Partnership Program aims to increase digitisation efforts and result in greater access and discovery of the State Archives Collection for collection users and the public.

Project Objectives

• State Archives Collection made available to a wide audience through our Partners and at our sites, increasing public access and discovery for Collection users
• Creation of high-quality images capable of enduring and remaining accessible in the future
• Enrichment of descriptive data, increasing discoverability of information contained within records
• A culture of collaboration, with opportunity for Partners to collaborate with each other, where appropriate and willing.
• Win-win outcomes for MHNSW and Partners

Scope

Partnered organisations will contribute to the program by providing digitisation and associated data entry services over a period of up to 3 years.

Services sought:

• Imaging of records from the State Archives Collection to MHNSW’s standards, through scanning and/or photography AND
• Data entry, Indexing or Transcription capturing of key information from digitised records as per agreed requirements
